DGA Chair North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper released the following statement in response to Josh Green’s primary victory in Hawai’i:

“Congratulations to Lt. Governor Josh Green on winning the Democratic nomination for governor of Hawai’i. From providing care as an ER doctor to leading the largest health care response in the island’s history as Hawai’i’s COVID liaison, Josh has always been a trusted leader who puts the health and wellbeing of families and communities first. Now, he’s ready to address the biggest issues facing the island, like making life more affordable, protecting the environment and tackling addiction. 

“The DGA is proud to support Josh Green as he continues to find commonsense solutions to the challenges facing the people of Hawai’i.”
