DGA Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper released the following statement in response to U.S. Senator Mike Braun becoming the Republican nominee for governor in Indiana:
“U.S. Senator Mike Braun has proven he’s far too extreme to be Indiana’s next governor. He’s spent his career attacking public education, allowing companies to ship Indiana jobs out of state and overseas, and attacking some of Hoosier’s most fundamental freedoms, including by siding with rapists over survivors on the state’s near-total abortion ban and saying states should be able to ban interracial marriage.
“He’s also entering the general election after a bruising primary – the most expensive in state history – where even members of his own party had no problem spending millions of dollars to go after him.“We look forward to continuing to remind Hoosier voters of Braun’s dangerous and disqualifying record now through November.”
