DGA Statement on House Republicans Voting to Gut Medicaid and Cut SNAP

 Today, in response to Reps. Andy Biggs, John James, Randy Feenstra, Byron Donalds, Elise Stefanik, Mike Lawler, John Rose, Dan Meuser, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Tom Tiffany voting to pass a disastrous budget bill that will deliver major cuts to Medicaid and food assistance, DGA spokesperson Johanna Warshaw released the following statement:

“Every House Republican eyeing a run for governor made it clear today that they want to take away their constituents’ health care and food assistance in order to give tax cuts to the ultra-wealthy. Voters across the country will hold them accountable for their toxic agenda at the ballot box next November.”
