DGA Statement on Henry McMaster Becoming the Republican Nominee for Governor
DGA Executive Director Noam Lee released the following statement on Henry McMaster officially receiving the Republican gubernatorial nomination in South Carolina:
“The only thing Henry McMaster has accomplished in his 40-year career is creating a culture of corruption and establishing himself as an out-of-touch political insider incapable of delivering real results for the people of South Carolina. McMaster refuses to expand Medicaid, supports a total abortion ban with no exceptions, and refused to support a hate crimes bill in South Carolina. He’s even tried to block funding to prevent kids from riding to schools on dangerously old and unsafe school buses.
“McMaster has turned his back on working families time and time again, and South Carolinians deserve better leadership.”
