DGA Statement on Helena Foulkes’ Victory in Tonight’s Rhode Island Gubernatorial Debate  

DGA spokesperson Kevin Donohoe released the following statement on tonight’s Rhode Island gubernatorial debate:

“Helena Foulkes was the only candidate onstage tonight who showed she had the focus, experience, and vision to build a more affordable Rhode Island.

“Aaron Guckian and Ken Block made clear that they are completely unprepared to be Rhode Island’s next governor. The two Republicans spent the entire night bickering and interrupting each other – and failed to lay out how they would address critical issues like making housing more affordable. Block couldn’t even get through the debate without his typed-out script. These guys simply weren’t ready for prime time – and don’t have what it takes to lead the Ocean State.”
