DGA Statement on Heidi Ganahl Becoming the Republican Nominee for Governor of Colorado

DGA Executive Director Noam Lee released the following statement on Heidi Ganahl securing the Republican gubernatorial nomination in Colorado:

“Heidi Ganahl is a far-right Republican who, in her nasty primary fight, has embraced extreme anti-abortion views and refused to distance herself from key players in the January 6th insurrection. While she promotes a fringe agenda, Ganahl has opposed policies that would actually improve Coloradoans lives, including making college more affordable, expanding paid family leave, and increasing access to affordable health care.

“Ganahl has run a weak and disorganized campaign that completely underperformed in the primary, and it’ll only go downhill from here as she’s forced to answer for her divisive platform that’s completely out of touch with Colorado values. The DGA is ready to expose Ganahl’s extremism moving into the general election — and we look forward to her defeat.”
