DGA Statement on Harris v Quinn

Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin, Chair of the Democratic Governors Association, today issued the following statement regarding today’s U.S. Supreme Court decision in Harris v. Quinn:
“Today’s decision is disappointing for Illinois workers who deserve to receive the fair wages and benefits that they’ve earned through their hard work. Unlike their Republican counterparts who are focused on rewarding the wealthiest and well-connected at the expense of the middle class, Democratic governors are fighting every day to expand economic opportunity and create a stronger, fairer economy for working families across the country. This decision only reaffirms the critical importance of that work.”
