DGA Chair North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper released the following statement on Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s reelection in New Mexico:

“Congratulations to Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham on her reelection victory. With this win, New Mexicans have secured four more years of progress as Michelle continues to deliver real results for families and communities throughout the state. In her first term, Michelle has navigated unprecedented crises, provided millions in economic relief to families, and established a first-of-its-kind free-college program, all while cutting taxes and diversifying the state’s economy. She’s invested over $1 billion into New Mexico’s schools and over $100 million in law enforcement to improve public safety across the state.

“Gov. Lujan Grisham has proven herself as an innovative and compassionate leader who puts New Mexico’s families first. The DGA looks forward to supporting her in this crucial work to ensure a better future for the state.”
