DGA Chair North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper released the following statement on Gov. Janet Mills’ reelection in Maine:

“Congratulations to Gov. Janet Mills on her reelection as governor of Maine. During her first term, Janet has proven herself as an innovative and compassionate leader who will continue to push Maine forward.

“Janet has demonstrated her commitment to improving the lives of all Mainers and has championed the issues that matter most. She has put cash in people’s pockets, ensured access to free community college, pursued sweeping action on climate change, and enacted crucial child and health care investments. She has worked across the aisle to ensure real results for the state of Maine.

“The DGA has been proud to stand alongside Gov. Mills and looks forward to continuing this important work and furthering her goals to keep moving Maine forward.”
