DGA Statement on Governor Gregoire’s Announcement
Washington, D.C. – Today, Democratic Governors Association Chair Martin O’Malley released the following statement on Governor Gregoire’s announcement that she will not seek another term as governor of Washington:
“Governor Gregoire has served the people of Washington well through this difficult national recession, making the tough decisions to close Washington State’s budget shortfall while providing relief to small businesses and investing in long-term job creation. Her longtime service to the people of Washington is greatly appreciated.
“The DGA is fully committed to keeping the governor’s mansion in Democratic hands and we will do what it takes to ensure that happens.”
