DGA Statement on Gov. Tim Walz’s Reelection Announcement
Today, following the announcement that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is running for reelection in 2022, DGA Chair Michelle Lujan Grisham released the following statement:
“Amidst unprecedented challenges, Gov. Tim Walz has been a strong leader dedicated to uplifting those who are too often left behind.
“Gov. Walz’s commitment to bridging divides to improve solutions for all Minnesotans is evident in all he has accomplished throughout his first term — from making unprecedented investments in public education to expanding rural broadband access to thousands of families.
“In his first term, Gov. Walz has taken decisive action to lead the state through the pandemic while laying the groundwork for a better Minnesota. But, as someone who has dedicated his career to public service, Gov. Walz understands his work is never finished. Gov. Walz won’t stop building on his work to create good-paying jobs in every corner of the state, ensure every Minnesota family has food on their table, and every child has access to a quality education.
