DGA Statement on Gov. Sununu’s Announcement That He Will Not Run for President

Democratic Governors Association Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper released the following statement in response to news that Gov. Chris Sununu will not run for president:

“Gov. Chris Sununu may have passed on a White House bid this year but he’s already shown New Hampshire families at every turn that he no longer cares about them or about doing his job as governor. While he’s spent all his time raising his political profile, families in New Hampshire are facing rising housing costs, along with attacks on public education and Sununu’s harmful and unnecessary restrictions on abortion rights. The DGA looks forward to holding Chris Sununu accountable because New Hampshire deserves a new governor who will actually focus on fixing problems — not their own personal ambitions.”
