DGA Statement on Gov. Ned Lamont’s Run for Reelection as Governor of Connecticut
Today, DGA Chair North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper issued the following statement on Gov. Ned Lamont:
“Governor Ned Lamont’s strong and steady leadership has guided Connecticut through challenging times and delivered results for working families. He worked with both parties to balance the budget, turning a deficit into a $4 billion surplus. Now he’s making historic investments in public schools, infrastructure and law enforcement while cutting taxes for the middle class. He’s also been a tireless leader in the fight to end gun violence and protect reproductive rights.
“The DGA looks forward to supporting Gov. Lamont in his reelection so he can continue to do what he’s done every day in office — getting things done for Connecticut families where it counts.”
