DGA Statement on Gov. Mike Pence’s Signing of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act
Washington, D.C. – Today, Jared Leopold, communications director of the Democratic Governors Association, released the following statement after Indiana Governor Mike Pence’s signed the new Religious Freedom Restoration Act:
“This week, the entire country has seen that Governor Mike Pence has the wrong priorities for Indiana,” said DGA Communications Director Jared Leopold. “Instead of fighting for jobs, Governor Pence has spent the last seven days backpedaling and stumbling over his far-right social agenda. Governor Pence’s disastrous leadership has harmed Indiana’s economy. In November 2016, Indiana voters will remember Governor Pence’s mistaken priorities.”
