DGA Chair North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper released the following statement in response to Gov. Kathy Hochul securing the Democratic gubernatorial nomination in New York:
“Congratulations to Gov. Kathy Hochul on winning the Democratic gubernatorial primary. When New York needed it most, Gov. Hochul bridged divides and put people first, cracking down on illegal guns to create safer communities, lowering costs and cutting taxes for middle-class families, and protecting women’s access to health care.
“Gov. Hochul has made record investments in New York and rallied support from across the state. The DGA is proud to support her as she builds on this record and moves on to the general election.”
