DGA Chair New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy today issued the following statement on Governor John Carney’s securing the Democratic gubernatorial nomination in Delaware:
“Congratulations to Gov. Carney on securing the Democratic nomination for governor in Delaware. In his first term, Gov. Carney built the largest infrastructure program in Delaware history, fought for clean water and environmental protections, and strengthened public schools – and he’s just getting started.
“Even in these unexpected circumstances, Gov. Carney has helped institute meaningful change in his state, while staying focused first and foremost on protecting lives, protecting the livelihoods of Delaware families, and confronting the threat of COVID-19. I am excited to help Delaware keep moving forward under Gov. Carney’s leadership.”
