Today, following the announcement that Colorado Gov. Jared Polis is running for reelection in 2022, DGA Chair Gov. Roy Cooper released the following statement:

“Gov. Polis has fought tirelessly for Coloradans every day in office. He’s tackled the largest challenges facing the state head-on with comprehensive plans to create affordable housing opportunities, expand access to health care, invest in public education, and ensure Coloradans can keep more of their hard-earned money.

“Facing unprecedented crises — from natural disasters to a global pandemic — Gov. Polis took immediate action and made sure no one was left behind as he guided the state towards recovery. Despite these challenges, Gov. Polis’ leadership has been a boon to Colorado’s economy, which has seen strong growth in new businesses, good-paying jobs, and lower taxes for Coloradans during his time in office.
