DGA Statement on Glenn Youngkin’s Decision to Enter the Virginia Governor’s Race
DGA Executive Director Noam Lee released the following statement after Republican Glenn Youngkin announced his candidacy in Virginia’s race for governor:
“Glenn Youngkin’s entrance to the Virginia governor’s race ensures the GOP convention will be a brutal competition to scrape together the most delegates and prove who is the most conservative. The more candidates enter the race, the more powerful Amanda Chase and her die-hard band of Trump supporters are in a convention – forcing candidates like Youngkin to openly embrace extreme positions in order to secure enough delegates.”
