DGA Statement on Duke Aiona Becoming the Republican Nominee for Governor of Hawai’i
DGA Executive Director Noam Lee released the following statement on Duke Aiona securing the Republican gubernatorial nomination in Hawai’i:
“Duke Aiona is just another out-of-touch Republican without a vision for Hawai’i. He spent the entire primary dodging questions and refusing to tell Hawaiians where he stands on key issues. He’s refused to commit to protecting abortion rights, has no plan to protect the environment and grow the economy, and is too scared to say whether or not he voted for Trump in 2020.
“Duke Aiona is clearly not equipped and too extreme to serve as Hawai’i’s next governor, and we look forward to holding him accountable through November.”
