DGA spokesperson Johanna Warshaw released the following statement in response to Donald Trump endorsing Ty Masterson for Kansas governor:
“The extreme Republicans running for Kansas governor have spent the entire primary fighting to prove their loyalty to Donald Trump and his far-right agenda at the expense of Kansas families. Now, Ty Masterson will not only have to reckon with his own extreme record in the legislature, but he’ll be forced to own a toxic D.C. agenda that includes higher costs, reckless tariffs hurting Kansas farmers and small businesses, and massive cuts to health care and rural hospitals. With over two months until the primary, this messy race to the right shows no sign of slowing down – and will only serve to push every GOP candidate even further out of step with Kansans.”
