DGA Statement on Delaware GOP Primary Results

DGA Communications Director Sam Newton released the following statement on Delaware state Representative Mike Ramone becoming Republican nominee for governor in Delaware:

“Mike Ramone’s right-wing agenda is wrong for Delaware and out-of-touch with the needs of working families. In the legislature, Ramone voted to keep criminal penalties for women seeking abortions and opposed codifying Roe v. Wade. Amid this, he prioritized slashing taxes for the wealthiest and shifting the burden to the middle class, while opposing raising the state’s minimum wage and expanding paid family leave. He’s already proven he’s too extreme to be Delaware’s next governor and that’s exactly why voters will reject him in November.”
