DGA Statement on David Zuckerman’s Victory in Vermont Primary
DGA Chair New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy today issued the following statement on Lt. Gov. David Zuckerman’s primary victory in Vermont:
“Congratulations to Lt. Gov. David Zuckerman on his primary victory tonight. David has spent his career fighting for equality, clean air and clean water, and an economy that works for all Vermonters. As a State legislator in the House and Senate, David worked across the aisle to pass bipartisan reforms protecting workers against discrimination, raising the minimum wage, granting health care compensation for first responders, passing marriage equality, and requiring transparency in Vermont’s food system. As Vermont’s Lieutenant Governor, David continued his mission to address the issues that Vermonters cared most about, including, renewable energy and climate change, health care, and education.
“As governor, David will work to invest resources in Vermont’s rural communities and economy, protect the environment and create green jobs across the state, expand access to education and worker training programs, and fight for accessible, affordable health care.
“The DGA looks forward to working with David Zuckerman to build a better Vermont for all.”
