DGA Statement on Daniel Cameron Becoming the Republican Nominee for Governor in Kentucky
DGA Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper released the following statement on Daniel Cameron officially becoming the Republican nominee for governor in Kentucky:
“After a nasty, expensive, and extreme primary, Daniel Cameron is entering the race for Governor in Kentucky bruised and battered.
“As each candidate fought to prove they were the most extreme and out of touch with Kentuckians, Cameron has the failed record to back that up. Whether it’s covering for Matt Bevin’s appalling pardons for violent criminals, supporting plans to dismantle public education, or even lying about a grand jury, Daniel Cameron doesn’t care about doing his job and Kentuckians are paying the price.“
Meanwhile, Gov. Andy Beshear always puts politics aside to do right by Kentucky families, and has guided the state through tough times by leading with decency and dignity. For Kentuckians, the choice couldn’t be clearer.”
