DGA Statement on Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont Securing the State Party’s Endorsement 

DGA Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper released the following statement on Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont securing the Connecticut Democratic Party’s endorsement: 

“Congratulations to Governor Ned Lamont on securing the Connecticut Democratic Party’s endorsement. Since taking office, Gov. Lamont has made Connecticut more affordable and stood up to Trump when he is hurting Connecticut, making him one of the most popular governors in the country. In the past six years, Governor Lamont has fought to lower taxes, balance the budget for seven years in a row, create jobs and attract new companies to Connecticut. Gov. Lamont made historic progress this year – securing free school breakfast for students, passing commonsense gun safety legislation, making key investments in public schools, and protecting people from the Trump administration’s abuses – and the DGA is confident Connecticut voters will re-elect him.”
