DGA Statement on CBO Score on Termination of CSR Payments
DGA Chair Gov. Dan Malloy (D-CT) and DGA Vice Chair Gov. Jay Inslee (D-WA) released the following joint statement today on the CBO score on the federal government’s potential termination of CSR payments:
“This independent analysis shows the damage to our states if President Trump chooses to sabotage the American health care system,” said Malloy and Inslee. “If President Trump moves forward on his sabotage threats, Americans will face premium increases of more than 20%, greater instability in health insurance markets, and more bare counties where no health plans are offered.
“This CBO report confirms that President Trump’s sabotage plan would hurt the citizens of our states, and would make health care more expensive for millions of Americans. That’s why both Democratic and Republican governors have called for President Trump to fund our health care system and work in a bipartisan way to strengthen the health care markets across the country.”
