DGA Statement on California Gubernatorial Debate
In response to tonight’s gubernatorial debate in California, DGA Deputy Communications Director Johanna Warshaw released the following statement:
“Tonight’s debate has once again made the choice easy for California voters: Steve Hilton is not a serious candidate for governor, while Secretary Becerra has a record of delivering for Californians. As Californians confront some of the highest gas prices in the country, Hilton called Trump’s reckless foreign policy an ‘absolute masterclass’ and his chaotic tariffs ‘really good’. Meanwhile, Secretary Becerra helped write the Affordable Care Act in Congress and has stood up for California families against ICE. As governor, Becerra will continue to fight back against Trump’s attacks and work to ensure that every California family can afford groceries, health care, and rent.”
