DGA Chair North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper released the following statement in response to Brenda Siegel securing the Democratic gubernatorial nomination in Vermont:

“Congratulations to Brenda Siegel on securing the Democratic nomination for governor of Vermont. As an advocate on key issues facing Vermonters, Brenda knows how to face tough challenges and find bold solutions. She has worked collaboratively with legislators to introduce and pass historic legislation that will save the lives of Vermonters. She has a plan to invest in housing, take bold climate action, and build a bottom-up economy that works for everyone.
