Tonight, DGA Chair Governor Jay Inslee (WA) released the following statement on Ben Jealous winning the Democratic nomination for Governor of Maryland:
“Congratulations to Ben Jealous on his victory in Maryland. As a community organizer and civil rights leader, Ben has a history of bringing people together to accomplish big things. Maryland needs a governor like Ben to tackle the important issues like rising health care premiums, underfunded schools, and an economy that leaves too many workers and families behind. And unlike Governor Hogan, Ben will always stand up to President Trump when his dangerous agenda threatens to hurt Marylanders.
