DGA Statement on Attorney General Josh Stein’s Primary Victory in North Carolina

Democratic Governors Association Chair Gov. Tim Walz released the following statement on Josh Stein’s victory in North Carolina’s Democratic gubernatorial primary:

“Congratulations to Attorney General Josh Stein on his victory in the North Carolina Democratic primary election tonight. From keeping kids safe, to taking on the opioid epidemic, to using his office to protect reproductive freedom, Josh is a proven fighter with a record of bringing people together to deliver real results. As governor, he will build on these accomplishments by continuing to work to build a safer and stronger North Carolina — defending rights, protecting public education, and creating more opportunity for all North Carolinians. The DGA is proud to support Josh Stein in this pivotal election, and we look forward to working alongside him from now until November to keep North Carolina’s governorship in good hands.”
