DGA Releases New Video, “Begging“
Today, the Democratic Governors Association released a new video, “Begging.”
As the nation battles the COVID-19 pandemic, Missouri Gov. Mike Parson’s laissez-faire approach to the crisis is sparking severe criticism from leaders across the state. Countless community leaders, medical professionals, and editorial boards have publicly pleaded with and begged their governor to step up and protect Missourians. But their calls for help are falling on deaf ears as the governor continues to call for “personal responsibility” rather than statewide action. Missourians deserve better.
“Mike Parson’s laissez-faire approach to this crisis could cost his constituents their lives,” said DGA Deputy Communications Director Christina Amestoy. “Coronavirus cases are skyrocketing in Missouri. It’s time for Parson to take this threat seriously and follow the lead of neighboring states like Kansas, Illinois, and Kentucky. Missourians shouldn’t have to beg their governor for help.”
