DGA poll: Walker 49, Barrett 46
A new internal poll of the Wisconsin recall, commissioned by the Democratic Governors Association, claims that Republican Gov. Scott Walker has only a narrow lead over Democratic Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.
The poll, conducted by the Democratic-aligned firm the Mellman Group, gives Walker 49 percent to Barrett’s 46 percent. The survey of 600 likely voters was conducted from May 22-24, and has a 4 percent margin of error.
In the firm’s previous poll from a week ago, Walker led 51 percent to 44 percent.
