DGA Launches “Greg GianforTAX” Website

Now Montanans Have a One-Stop Shop to See How Much a Gianforte Administration Could Cost Them

Montana voters have rejected a statewide sales tax twice, but New Jersey millionaire Greg Gianforte doesn’t care. He thinks “the fairest tax is the one you pay and I don’t.” Gianforte even lied to Montanans about his support for a sales tax despite being on record saying a statewide sales tax is an “ideal solution.”

The Democratic Governors Association launched a new website today highlighting Gianforte’s support for a statewide sales tax. The “GianforTAX” website shows how much money Greg Gianforte could cost working families if he were elected governor. 

In just one month, Montanans could be paying an extra $69.10 or more on basic goods and services under “Governor” GianforTAX.

It may be “ideal” for New Jersey millionaires like Greg Gianforte – but hardworking Montana families can’t afford Greg or his regressive GianforTAX.

“New Jersey multimillionaire Greg GianforTAX wants hardworking Montana families to pay more,” said DGA National Press Secretary Jerusalem Demsas. “He can lie about his record all he wants but the facts are clear: Montanans can’t afford Greg GianforTAX as Governor.”
