WASHINGTON, D.C. – Montana Governor Gov. Steve Bullock, Chair of the Democratic Governors Association, today released the following statement:
“At a time when politics can seem so small and petty, today we mourn the loss of a true giant in former Governor Mario Cuomo – a man with big ideas and bold principles who always put the people first. Mario Cuomo embodied the American Dream and made it his life’s mission to extend that dream to countless others. He leaves behind a legacy of progress, equality, greater opportunity and unity. Mario Cuomo’s example and spirit reminds us all why public service is such an honorable calling. On behalf of the Democratic Governors, our hearts go out to Governor Andrew Cuomo and the entire Cuomo family for the loss of their dear patriarch.”
