Tonight, DGA Chair Governor Andy Beshear released the following statement on the redistricting referendum passing in Virginia:
“Tonight, Virginia voters sent a clear message rejecting Donald Trump’s attacks on our free and fair elections. The passage of this redistricting referendum is an important step to level the playing field, and a major loss for Donald Trump, who is trying to rig the midterms because he can’t defend his agenda that has made Americans’ lives harder and more expensive.
“This is another important reminder of why electing Democratic governors matters more than ever. Thank you to Governor Abigail Spanberger for her leadership to help pass this measure and fight back against this Administration’s dangerous attempts to undermine our democracy.”
