DGA Chair Governor Andy Beshear Statement Ahead of 100 Days To Election Day 

Ahead of Sunday, which marks 100 days until Election Day, DGA Chair Governor Andy Beshear released the following statement on the stakes of races for governor across the country:

“We are nearly 100 days until Election Day, and the stakes for governor’s races across the country have never been higher. Donald Trump and Republican candidates for governor have a harmful, cost-raising agenda that is making life harder at every turn – and doing everything in their power to restrict our fundamental freedoms. But Democratic governors know how to fight back, and the DGA has the record to prove it.

“Democratic governors have won in battleground and red states by focusing on the issues that matter most, and this year, we have a fantastic slate of candidates who are sharing their positive visions to lower costs and help families get ahead. Every day until November, we are going to be all-in on re-electing our ten incumbent governors, hold onto Democratic-led open states around the country, and go on offense to flip states like Georgia, Ohio, Iowa, and Nevada.

“Who your governor is has never mattered more, and we are full steam ahead to elect more Democratic governors this November.”
