DGA Chair Gov. Murphy Statement on the GOP’s Latest Attack on Reproductive Freedoms in Mifepristone Ruling
DGA Chair Gov. Phil Murphy released the following statement on today’s ruling on the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine et al v. U.S. FDA et al court case:
“In ruling to rip away access to a medication that has been safely prescribed for the last 20 years, this decision by a Trump-appointed judge in Texas is a devastating blow to reproductive rights that could directly harm millions of women. It also shows that extreme MAGA Republicans remain fixated on restricting and controlling the choices Americans can make when it comes to their health care and will stop at nothing until they completely ban abortion nationwide.
“As these attacks on fundamental rights continue to drive us backward, Democratic governors will remain an essential bulwark for protecting reproductive freedom in our states.”
