Democratic governors are leading the fight against Donald Trump and his administration – and they need your help. Trump and his allies have hundreds of millions of dollars to attack our candidates, and we have to make sure we’ve got the resources to fight back. With 36 races on the map this November, 80% of Americans will cast their vote for their next governor. We need to invest NOW to expand our map, win in battleground states, protect our blue firewall of Dem govs, and flip critical states from red to blue. Can Dem govs count on you to chip in right now?

DGA Chair Gov. Beshear Hits The Trail in Red States For Final GOTV Sprint

Ahead of the midterm elections, Chair of the Democratic Governors Association Governor Andy Beshear is hitting the road for a final GOTV sprint and campaigning alongside candidates for governor in a number of red and battleground states that Donald Trump won. The list of states includes Nevada, New Mexico, Georgia, Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas, and Oklahoma.

This comes as the DGA is aggressively going on offense and there is a very real opportunity for Democrats to win the majority of governorships in our country for the first time since 2010. The Washington Post recently reported that, “A new balance of statehouse power across the map would culminate a dramatic comeback from the Democrats’ low mark nine years ago, when they held only 15 of the nation’s 50 governorships.”

The DGA is making significant investments in the states Gov. Beshear is visiting in the final stretch. The DGA announced at least $10 million each in red-to-blue flip opportunities in Georgia, Iowa, Ohio, Nevada, and just announced $500,000 in Oklahoma. The DGA is also investing $10 million to hold Wisconsin and seven figures in Kansas.

Last week, the DGA released a memo that outlined other critical races on the DGA’s map like Arizona, Alaska, Florida, Michigan, Nebraska and Texas. The memo also noted that DGA has been working hard to keep expanding the map, as the largest obstacle to making history remains funding for all of these high-stakes races.
