DGA Chair Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear released the following statement on Secretary Xavier Becerra advancing to the November election for governor in California:
“Congratulations to Secretary Xavier Becerra on advancing to the November election for governor in California. Xavier has been fighting and delivering for Californians for decades. As the state’s Attorney General, he took on the Trump Administration in court more than 120 times. I saw it firsthand when together we worked to protect the Affordable Care Act and preserved healthcare for millions of Americans. Xavier will continue standing up to Trump’s attacks and work to ensure every California family can afford healthcare, rent, groceries and more. The DGA looks forward to working with him to become the next governor of California.”
