DGA Chair Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear released the following statement on Gov. Katie Hobbs securing the Democratic nomination for governor in Arizona:
“Congratulations to my friend Gov. Katie Hobbs on becoming the Democratic nominee for governor in Arizona. As a social worker who helped run a domestic violence shelter and a mom who worked multiple jobs to make ends meet, Gov. Hobbs understands the challenges Arizonans are facing. That’s why she always brought people together to get big things done and has never been afraid to stand up to her own party. Her strong, bipartisan leadership has delivered real results like eliminating the rental tax, making it easier to build housing, canceling medical debt, securing the border, protecting Arizona’s water and creating good-paying jobs.
