A native of the Rio Grande Valley, Gina is a fighter who has never been afraid to take on the status quo when it fails working families in Texas. Gina first ran – and won – a school board seat when her son’s school was threatened with closing and as a legislator has fearlessly stood up to the corruption in Austin. Gina is running to strengthen public schools, end the culture of no-bid contracts, and build an economy where everyone has a fair shot.
