DGA-Backed Group Releases New Ad on Ciattarelli and Trump’s Price-Raising, Job-Killing Agenda

“Terminating the Gateway Tunnel could kill nearly 100,000 jobs and create traffic nightmares” for Jersey commuters.

Today, Greater Garden State, a group backed by the Democratic Governors Association, released a new ad in New Jersey calling out Jack Ciattarelli for giving Donald Trump an ‘A’ grade and standing behind him as Trump terminated the Gateway Tunnel project which killed nearly one hundred thousand New Jersey jobs. After Trump terminated the project, Ciattarelli dismissed concerns about its cancellation as something “nobody’s talked about” in New Jersey.

Jack Ciattarelli has said his “job is to help [Donald Trump],” and he has repeatedly refused to name a single issue where he and the President meaningfully disagree. He has even promised that he is “not going to be different” from Trump. Ciattarelli vowed to bring an unaffordable and toxic agenda to New Jersey, including selling out hardworking families and making life more expensive by cheering on Trump’s chaotic tariffs and supporting Trump’s disastrous and deeply unpopular budget bill. Ciattarelli even repeatedly threatened to put a “10% sales tax on everything, including food and clothing,” “on the table.”

This ad is part of a $20 million reservation in TV, digital, and streaming ads to run across New Jersey ahead of this year’s gubernatorial election.
