DGA-Backed Group Making Michigan’s Future Releases New Ad on John James’ Record of Looking Out for Himself in Congress

Making Michigan’s Future, a group backed by the Democratic Governors Association, launched the ad “Himself” that slams John James for how he put himself first in Congress.

This is the latest ad airing on TV as part of a seven-figure statewide buy that also includes streaming and digital platforms. It focuses on how James has hundreds of thousands of dollars from special interests and then voted to give them a massive tax break, while raising costs for Michiganders.

In Congress, John James got himself on the committee that regulates Big Pharma

Then James’ campaigns took over 300 grand from drug companies, and he failed to report stock trades in drug companies too.

So when Big Pharma came calling, James voted to give them a giant tax break, slashing drug makers’ tax rates by over 40 percent

And opposed a bill to cap the price of life-saving drugs. 

John James works for himself, not you.
