Ad: ‘We need a governor who puts out health care first’

Today, Stronger Tennessee, an independent organization backed by the Democratic Governors Association released a new ad, “Keep Closing.”
The ad highlights Bill Lee’s opposition to Medicaid expansion. Despite hospitals closing across the state, and a clear majority of Tennesseans supporting Medicaid expansion, Lee has refused to support it. While millions of people could lose access to care, and thousands could lose jobs, Lee is playing politics with health care.

“It doesn’t have to be this way. But Bill Lee opposes the solution to fix the problem.
“A common sense plan to expand Medicaid is supported by 63 percent of Tennesseans. Bill Lee says ‘No.’
“That means more hospitals will close. And cost thousands of jobs. Lives are at stake. And Bill Lee is playing politics.
