DGA Announces New Treasurer, Kiki McLean
The DGA announced today that Kiki McLean will serve as a Treasurer for the 2021-22 cycle.
“I am thrilled to announce Kiki as the new DGA treasurer. McLean has extensive experience building and leading. She brings extensive knowledge in strategic communications from an impressive career building successful Democratic organizations and developing public affairs strategies,” said Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham. “Her contributions to the DGA will undoubtedly bolster our success in expanding the coalition of Democratic governors across the country working to deliver for working families.”
McLean is a leading public affairs and political strategist. She is recognized for her decades of experience leading advocacy and communications strategies for business, political, and non-profit organizations. She previously served as the managing director of Porter Novelli’s Washington DC office, leading its global public affairs practice and serving on the company’s executive committee. Her career includes roles with the highly regarded firm, the Dewey Square Group, and the history-making Democratic Leadership Council.
Kiki is a veteran of six presidential campaigns, including the historic 1992 Clinton-Gore campaign. She served as senior advisor to the Hillary Clinton for President Campaign in 2008, and was spokesperson and Communication Director for Vice President Al Gore, Senator Joe Lieberman, and the Democratic National Committee. Kiki McLean is a native of San Antonio, Texas, and received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in Communications from Austin College in Sherman, Texas.
The DGA Treasurer role is an unpaid, volunteer position.
