Indiana Democrats are wasting no time in attacking Republican U.S. Rep. Mike Pence as he begins his run for Indiana governor.
State Democratic Party Chairman Dan Parker issued a statement Thursday calling Pence “a vitriolic critic with a megaphone” and accusing him of spending “a decade in Congress focusing on divisive issues rather than working for the people of Indiana.”
The comments came shortly after Pence told supporters by conference call from Washington that he planned to enter the race to succeed term-limited GOP Gov. Mitch Daniels.
