Democratic Governors Condemn Medicaid and SNAP Cuts, a Major Liability for House Republicans Running for Governor
As House Republicans passed a disastrous budget bill that will gut Medicaid and food assistance, Democratic governors outlined how the bill will make it harder for families to put food on the table and could kick nearly 14 million people off their health insurance – all while jacking up prices for working families.
The vote is also already causing major problems for House Republicans eyeing a run for governor, whose support for massive cuts to health care and food assistance will prove to be a major liability in their doomed campaigns.
