Dem Govs Get It Done: Gov. Tony Evers’ Main Street Bounceback Grants Program Supports Small Businesses Across Wisconsin
Gov. Tony Evers’ Main Street Bounceback Grants program is helping local economies recover by providing much-needed support to small businesses in all 72 Wisconsin counties.
Using $50 million in American Rescue Plan funding, Gov. Evers’ investment has provided over 3,400 grants to businesses and nonprofits moving into vacant properties downtown.
In his State of the State address, Gov. Evers “focused on the ‘kitchen table issues’ that helped him unseat Walker in 2018,” and he continues to deliver for Wisconsinites on those kitchen-table issues.
“Gov. Tony Evers has a strong record of supporting small businesses,” said DGA Senior Communications Advisor Christina Amestoy. “The Main Street Bounceback Grants program is helping Wisconsin grow back even stronger by empowering small businesses and making long-term investments in local economies.”

Their business is one of more than 3,400 in the state to receive a $10,000 Main Street Bounceback grant.
Governor Evers’ administration has used $50 million from the American Rescue Plan Act to fund small businesses through the Main Street Bounceback program. It helps small businesses move into vacant storefronts.
“It’s been able to help us almost double our investment. We had some money set aside to invest and making some upgrades. Now we can do twice as much,” said Chip.

Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation CEO Missy Hughes and Governor Tony Evers visited the Mercer Thursday to meet the business owners.
Evers says the program is helping local economies recover by supporting small businesses and bringing a boost to already established businesses in downtowns.
