By Spreading Same Dangerous Lies, Tudor Dixon is Tied Directly to Matt DePerno
As Michigan GOP nominee for attorney general Matt DePerno could face criminal charges for leading “a team that gained unauthorized access to voting equipment,” conspiracy theorist Tudor Dixon, who endorsed and campaigned with DePerno, has also repeatedly embraced dangerous lies that undermine elections.
Dixon has repeatedly backed baseless election conspiracy theories — despite the fact that a Michigan Republican-led Senate Oversight Committee released a lengthy report that made clear there was “no evidence of widespread or systematic fraud.”
At a debate, Dixon even raised her hand when asked directly if she thought election fraud was big or widespread enough to change the outcome of the 2020 election.
“Tudor Dixon has repeatedly promoted false conspiracy theories that undermine elections and erode public trust in democracy,” said DGA Deputy Communications Director Sam Newton. “As new evidence is surfacing about Matt DePerno’s role in reportedly breaking the law, it’s already too late for Dixon to distance herself, and she must answer for her role in actively spreading the same dangerous lies.”
