Beshear Celebrates Ribbon Cutting On $220 Million Expansion In Harrodsburg, Kentucky
Wausau Paper in Harrodsburg, Kentucky celebrated the ribbon cutting on the company’s $220 million expansion, which included the installation of a new, 138-ton machine that can produce about 75,000 tons of towel and tissue products per year. With the addition of the 76 new, full time jobs, the plant now employs more than 470 people.
Wausau Paper has produced towel and tissue paper products at its Harrodsburg plant since 1990. Gov. Steve Beshear applauded the expansion and recognized the tremendous value Wausau Paper has contributed to the region. “Kentucky is aggressive about attracting new companies, but we’re also very proud of the success and growth of companies that have made a commitment to the Commonwealth,” said Gov. Beshear.
