Ben Salango Launches Campaign Ad Hitting Jim Justice For His Disgraceful Legacy of Taking From Hard Working West Virginians
West Virginia Democratic candidate Ben Salango launched a new campaign ad today, “Hands Dirty.” The ad shows Salango rock climbing as he describes how unlike billionaire Gov. Jim Justice, he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty to help West Virginians.
As Kanawha County Commissioner, Salango grew the economy, helped small businesses, and developed new industries. Meanwhile, Gov. Jim Justice made billions for himself off the backs of hard working coal miners, and then fought to avoid paying them what they deserve. Justice has used the governorship to enrich his family’s business empire and has also been accused of being an absent leader by members of his own party.
Salango will “be a full-time governor, putting in the work day in and out to help improve quality of life in the state.” He’ll make sure West Virginians get a leg up to help them succeed.

“As a businessman and a governor, Jim Justice has used West Virginians to advance his own personal agenda,” said DGA Deputy Communications Director Christina Amestoy. “Ben Salango will put West Virginians first and work hard to improve everyone’s quality of life. Ben isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty to help build West Virginia up.”
